Ronald C. Barnett, D.D.S., M.S.D,
I am proud to be a native Texan. I was born in Borger Texas and spent my formative years farming, ranching and working cattle off of horseback. I graduated from Amarillo High School in 1967 and headed to Austin to attend the University of Texas where I played tennis on scholarship and majored in biology.
My father was an orthodontist in Amarillo. I was impressed with what I observed while working in his office during high school and decided to enter the dental profession. In 1973, I began my dental education at the University of Missouri School of Dentistry. In 1977, I graduated with my DDS degree and was accepted into the orthodontic specialty program at Baylor Dental School. Two years later, I completed my education and returned to Amarillo to fulfill a lifelong dream of practicing with my dad. In 1982, I moved back to Austin to open my own practice and have had the good fortune to be here ever since.
I have been in practice for over 30 years. I feel proud and blessed to be in my profession. Creating a beautiful and healthy smile for my patients is my passion. It is so rewarding to watch my patients blossom and grow in confidence as their smiles improve.
The proudest accomplishment in my life is being a father and friend to my seven children. Watching them grow into fine young men and women has been a tremendously rewarding and joyful experience.
In my leisure time I enjoy traveling, cycling, walking, gardening, and hanging out with my kids, grandkids and my beautiful sweet wife, Carrie.
